Hi Amanda,
At work this morning, I’ve been telling my colleagues about my great holiday, along with showing them my photos and videos. Tonight, I will send you a few of my favourite photos from our wonderful time at Imagine Africa.
Even though we were in Mauritius last week, we all said our favourite part of the holiday was on safari. Each of us reminisced about our best memory from our holiday, it was; Lee– seeing the crocodile take down the impala. Me – seeing the family of lions ‘running’ towards our jeep and then stay while we watched the cubs play, it felt like something out of a film. Cheryl – the female lion keeping watch over the other female lion and her babies as the baboons barked in excitement. Michelle – being in the back of the jeep when we took part in the wild dog hunt, as they tried to find their breakfast. We were discussing how we could see so many stars (as we don’t see them where we live) and Hendrick pointed out and named loads of them for us, I’ve never had that experience before.
But for me, seeing Hendricks smile when he saw the 2 hour old black rhino, this was priceless as I know how important that particular birth was. As Lee said, the food was wonderful, actually more than wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, I still want the recipe for the Malva pudding.
