We had the most amazing honeymoon while staying at Imagine Africa. The food was amazing, the lodge/room was beautiful, but best of all, the staff were super attentive and made our trip even better. Our guide, Kiaran, made sure we saw just about everything in the bush and was so informative. We can’t thank them enough and can’t wait to come back again!

Amazing what else! Amazing experience beyond expectations. I definitely recommend this location as it is beautiful set up, the organisation of our days is well taken care of, the cleanliness of our luxurious tent. The common spaces are great and spacious, the food is well coordinated by the chef Orlando. The staff is always looking for our well being, De and Chiren are super nice and efficient. Richard is a great host and full of resources, very welcoming and always with a good story to tell. The Safaris are held twice a day, the guides are beyond expected. They are on a mission to find the Big 5 for us. Hendrick, drives like no one else, he is not scared of anything along with Victor for most of our trip responsible to look for the animals and more. They are great humans, deeply connected with their surrounding, and respectful of the animals. I will remember our breaks mid excursions in a nice and different set up each time. We met wonderful people along the way. Never too many as there are only 5 tents which makes it unique. Jocelyn and I will keep memories of this wonderful get away in the African Savana and bushes. Loved it!

Saw so much wildlife- lions hunting at night time, rhinos, elephants, giraffes. Zebras, hyenas, baby lion cubs!! In most parts they are able to get up close with the wildlife! Game drives morning and evening to allow seeing different wildlife. |Small group safari great for getting to know the staff and other guest. Gary had tones of experience and knowledge about the wildlife. The trackers were amazing at spotting wildlife from ages away and tracking them. |Food is delicious, very comfortable for sleeping.

Everything was far beyond the highest expectations in this luxury tended camp: the level of safaris, the organization, the animals seen including big five, the kindeness of people at the lodge, the quality of the food, the professionalism of the driver and the traker, the pool and the gym, the unformal environment. we genuinely cannot say better things about imagine Africa - from the moment we arrived we were made to feel incredibly welcome and taken care of. The accommodation is beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable yet luxurious stay, we loved the outdoor shower and viewing platform terrace that we could see the waterhole from. The staff at the lodge are amazing, from the delicious food, ever changing menus and high tea providing a sweet treat we were so well fed from the minute we arrived (ps can we get that crunchies recipe??) - the most important part and the part we really will never forget is the game drives. Victor and Hendrick really are a dream team, they made us feel comfortable & safe from the moment we got in the vehicles and these two should get a medal for how incredible they are at spotting, tracking and finding animals, we saw SO many animals and so many different behaviours being exhibited in the wild, including a live hunt and kill. Both Victor and Hendrick answered all the many questions we had and we really appreciated how much effort they put in to making sure we had the best safari experience. We will remember this for the rest of our lives and will be telling people about this lodge! thank you

Outstanding property Very nice location with ultra comfortable tents offering a beautiful view of a water point where elephants come to drink. The cuisine is really of first class quality (better than what we experienced in far more expensive resorts). The ranger is very skilled and offered us amazing game drives during our stay.

Our second visit to Imagine Africa and, like the first visit, we have been so beautifully looked after. Richard and Amanda have created a very special place … the food is fabulous, the accomodation is beautiful, the decor is stunning and the staff are amazing!! As good as it gets-my best in 60 years of game park visits I’m an expat SAFFA & have visited game parks ever since I was a child & I’m over 70. I’ve covered the spectrum from tent camping to very upmarket lodges in SA,Botswana,Namibia & Zambia Imagine was a real surprise.I was referred by a friend & was a little sceptical. I was so wrong. It was outstanding! Reasons= I’ve never written a travel review before but I was so moved by the experience I felt compelled to ! True genuine SA hospitality Amazing animal viewing- I saw more up close & personal Than I have in 60 yrs Owner operated by Richard & Amanda backed up by an outstanding motivated team A real hands on operation-professional but not overwhelming The lodge with its tented suites is perfectly detailed- all the important details eg=wifi,usb slots,plugs,aircon,water-hot for bathing & drinkable,lighting-Work excellently & Plentiful & well located Backed up by contemporary stylish design that is not over the top-the last thing I want on this type of trip is a designer,fussy environment & Imagine isn’t that Food-tasty/plentiful-contemporary but with a down home touch not big city style which doesn’t work for me in the bush.Just right. A truly special place and team! The experience of staying at this beautiful lodge was way beyond expectations. We spent many days researching where to stay and this lodge was everything we wanted, a truly exceptional game drive team, we can’t believe what we saw so close, lions, leopard, black and white rhinos, giraffe with v new born young, elephants, hippos, the list goes on. Our guides not only found the animals but got us in amazing positions to see the animals coming towards and passed us like the leopard and 5 lionesses with the male lion within feet. The team at the lodge are also exceptional, so friendly attentive and the food was amazing. We enjoyed the company of fellow guests and the guides joined us for dinner so we could chat even more about what we had seen. The lodge tents are v luxurious and comfortable with gorgeous views over the park towards the mountains. There is a small watering hole which attracted warthogs and hyenas whilst we were having lunch. We really didn’t want to leave this beautiful place and fantastic team, we had smooth transfers to and from the airport by the team at the hotel too. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

Really special lodge and an unforgettable experience.The drives themselves were amazing - twice a day during sunrise and sunset, the private nature of the reserve meant there was never a moment where any sighting felt crowded by 4x4s. The open borders (for the animals) with the rest of Kruger meant that the wildlife could freely cross as they pleased, the perfect balance from my perspective.Shoutout to Kiaran, who took the majority of our drives and was extremely informative and easy to talk to. It was clear to see the passion he has for the wildlife and towards the end it felt like we were good friends rather than a guide - a really great, fresh addition to the team, and he made our experience as special as it was. Hendrick and Viktor took our last few drives and they were also fantastic.The rest of the team at the lodge were also superb - from Sinead, Tuscani and Warren, to all the cooks and cleaners in between that made our time in-between drives really relaxing and calming.Overall an excellent stay.

It was so amazing!!!! The staff was wonderfull and a special thanks for Hendrick and Victor who was so incredibles. Theire knowledge of the nature, the animals and the track was very interesting to learn! So many thanks to everybody. We spend a lucky and wonderfull honeymoon with you.

Best time ever!

Like Coming Home I've been to Imagine Africa several times now – and this time, I had the joy of sharing it with three generations of my family! What keeps bringing me back? Honestly, it's the whole vibe: the lodge is tucked away in a beautiful spot, super stylish, and easy to reach by car from Hoedspruit (though they'll happily pick you up from the airport too if needed). The wildlife is absolutely amazing – we saw four of the Big Five on our very first game drive! But it’s not just that. It’s the warmth and professionalism of the team, the peaceful, exclusive atmosphere (just six gorgeous tents with stunning views!), and just the way everything comes together to make you feel completely at ease. The food is delicious, and now there’s even a gym – so you can enjoy all the tasty treats without feeling guilty ☺️. What more could you ask for?
