Just spent 4 days and nights at the Amazing Imagine Africa Luxury Tented Camp. We all (party of 6) can’t say enough great things about the Camp, the Staff, the Facilities, the food, and most of all the Game Drives with Amazing Guides (Hendrix, Victor). Highly Recommend this place to all looking for a wonderful Africa Game Drive and Animal experience. A++++++++

It’s difficult to sum up our experience here. The accommodation is beautiful and well appointed; the beds are super comfortable and everything is immaculate. The food is wonderful and plentiful. The staff are superb; from the housekeepers to the bar staff, rangers to the management, they could not do enough for us and really make it a 5* experience. The drives felt safe but exciting and Hendrick and Victor who were our guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The main part of the lodge is beautiful and it all feels like a real luxury experience. We enjoyed getting to know the other guests but there is enough space that you can socialise as much or as little as you wish. I could spend all day writing about our fantastic trip here but I can only summarise by saying you wont be disappointed!!!

A taste of paradise in the heart of nature As the first leg of our African adventure ends, words cannot do justice to how we blesed we all feel. A lifetime memory made extra special by our hosts at the exceptional Imagine Africa. A small family run lodge in the heart of Kruger National park, that felt like a home away from home, yet simultaneously hosting a kaleidoscope of magical experiences that showcase the absolute delights Mother Nature has to offer. I would describe Imagine Africa as beautiful and authentic, yet still feeling understated but balanced with a subtle feeling of being pampered and cared for. Imagine Africa are a small group of hosts who were genuinely interested in making new friends and doing their utmost to make your experience in the bush, as exhilarating and memorable as you could possibly imagine. The game drives were exceptional. Our wonderful guides Hendrick and Victor were passionate, knowledgeable and pleasant and you felt completely at ease in their company as you venture into the bush. The safari completely surpassed our expectations and we got up close and personal to all the major wild animals we had hoped to catch sight of and much, much more besides. The game drives have created a lifetime of memories we will forever cherish and our young boys were so sad to leave. It can be quite cold in the mornings given its winter time, but we were well looked after well, with blankets and hot water bottles kindly provided! The pursuit of a leopard to get a close sighting was exhilarating and testament to our guides skill and know how. It was the small personal gestures and magical touches that made staying at Imagine Africa feel so wonderful. From the melodic beat of the African drum to announce dinner was served, to the regular ‘visitors’ to the watering hole they have kindly provided for the local wildlife, with the majestic elephants, giraffes and Impala’s all gracing us with their presence. Herman also engineered an impromptu African drum session with our boys one evening! Our lovely hosts were always attentive to our needs and always were ready to go the extra mile for our young boys, making them feel special and conjuring up alternative menu options if required. The absolutely delightful and ever smiling Lanie always made them feel special and ready to conjure up a hot chocolate or two, and was equally charming with all the guests. A special mention of thanks for organizing an impromptu romantic dinner on the deck of our room, made even more special by the elephant nonchalantly passing by amongst the Savannah as we tucked into our sumptuous ostrich steak. Each meal was a mix of sumptuous culinary delights, prepared by the charming chef Orlando. The slow cooked smoked lamb served against a backdrop of a roaring fire and Ostrich steak were my particular favourite’s, and of course accompanied and complemented by sampling copious amounts of glorious South African wine😀 The lodge is described as luxury tents, but had the feeling and aura of a chic and luxurious cabin. Well presented, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. There is an outdoor bath and shower if you want to maximize your experience of the great outdoors, but for those more akin to their creature comforts, rest assured there is a lovely and powerful indoor shower, not to mention it being air conditioned so you can feel as comfortable as possible. Every morning as you pull back the curtains, there is always the possibility of witnessing a wildlife arrival to greet you. On the final morning we had a cluster of vibrant impala’s adorning the Savannah. Everything runs like clockwork and all of the staff are so friendly, warm and polite. Imagine Africa is very professionally managed and run by the charming Gary and Herman. They both clearly have an intense passion for living life amongst nature and the wild animals that adorn it. They can share many entertaining stories, if you visit ask Gary about his adventure being chased by a hippo! Initially we were looking to book a more well renowned lodge but that did not work out and we are so eternally grateful that was the case. Our stay with Imagine Africa was so pleasurable and memorable in a manner which heightened our experience beyond belief and surpassed all our expectations. It is difficult to comprehend that anywhere else would have been as intimate and special, there was a magical ambience about Imagine Africa that is difficult to convey in words, that felt like a taste of paradise in the heart of nature. Their motto is ‘Guided by experience and driven by passion’. It’s not just a slogan, it’s their guiding star and way of life. I would thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommend staying if visiting Kruger National park, it’s an amazing experience to behold and one we will never ever forget.

We have had the time of our lives! I can’t imagine a better lodge! I failed miserably to find any improvement point. The staff is wonderful, food is amazing, the tent is pure luxury. They treat you with care and always with a smile on the face, in an authentic and natural way.||We saw the big 5 very closely. Victor and Herman are professionals in what they do. Everyone who comes across this lodge NO NEED TO LOOK ANY FURTHER - YOU FOUND THE DIAMOND!||We just got back from our 5 nights stay at the wonderful Imagine Africa lodge. |When we arrived at the airport at Hoedspruit Gary was already there picking us up and taking us to the lodge. |It’s about 35 mins drive. |When we arrived we got a lovely warm welcome from Andri and Herman, we got offered fresh towels too, a nice little touch. Our bags were kindly taken straight to our tent while we soaked up the first impression of the most breathtaking view, decor and peaceful atmosphere. At the bar area there is always a daily menu displayed, if there is anything you do want wish to eat they have no problem to alter the meal (I wished to replace any meat with chicken and they always remembered)|Andri then took us to our lodge and showed us around and also explained the general itinerary of the day in Imagine Africa! |We arrived on Mother’s Day and in our room was a very sweet gesture of South African nougat! |We got ready for our first game drive with Victor and Herman (it’s gets chilly really quickly and even though everyone gets a blanket I would still suggest to wrap up:))|We saw elephants, giraffes, white rhino and hippo, we loved there is no rush and we got to spend a lovely time with the animals and just observe them. We then stopped for a drink break at the look out with great view which was the most perfect opportunity to get to know the other guests. We got offered snacks too(nuts, dried meat, dried fruit - each game drive it was slightly different but always delicious).|After 3 hour game drive we got back, Andri warm welcome it’s always so nice to see when you arrive back and she wants to know which animals we manage to see:) |When you heard the sound of drums it means dinner is ready, the food in general was FANTASTIC, every single meal was cooked, seasoned so beautifully. |Herman our driver sat with us every evening which was just so lovely as everyone has lots of questions about the bush, animals, his experience and we all share our stories and home background, it’s amazing how quickly people can feel comfortable with each other and it was a great laugh too. |Morning wake up call by Herman’s “Morning, morning” at 5:30 it’s much better then just a sound of our alarms:) |Morning game drives can be also chilly before the most stunning sunrises appear! |We then saw more amazing animals, even zebras, wild dogs and hippo out of the water:)|Morning drinks and snacks are made out of cookies and oat biscuits + tea, coffee or hot chocolate (let them to add a drop of Amarula to your hot drink!)|After an eventful morning breakfast is served which again was delicious especially their home baked muffins 🙂 and then it’s time to relax or stay with the guests/staff for more chatting:) |We also had a few visits from the elephants to have a drink from the water hole which is just adorable to watch so closely!|All the staff always make sure you are happy/offers drinks.|We managed to see THE BIG 5 and even more! Animals we never heard of…!|Our game drives were always informative and all the staff are very knowledgeable! ||Our time in South Africa was very busy as we wanted to experienced as much as possible so prior our arrival I spoke to the lodge and they managed to book Elephant Whispers experience, Hot Air ballon and guided bush walk with Frank, we also did Panorama tour and would recommend ALL OF IT!!! Great way to experience the beauty o the country! ||Andri also managed to squeeze in for us 2 individual spa treatments which was sooooo good and relaxing!!|As the time went by we became more and more familiar with each other and it felt like family having laugh together while experiencing something so special.||The last night we got the sweetest and most thoughtful surprised, Andri organised a private dinner on our lodge deck for our wedding anniversary! It was the best ending to our holiday! ||Over all this was the most amazing holiday/experience we could have ever wished for. |The lodge itself is a dream, so clean and always ready for our needs. |But most importantly the staff! Andri, Herman, Gari, Victor and all the staff who made our stay unforgettable: THANK YOU for absolutely everything, we appreciate how hard working you all are and still manage to have smile on our face even at 10pm! We have never been looked after better and felt like we could just be ourselves as the vibe around the lodge is so chilled and friendly! James and I will treasure this forever and it’s only thanks to you, meeting you and getting to know you was the cherry on top this wonderful time we spent in South Africa! Prima esperienza safari indimenticabile! Thanks you all-hotel nuovissimo, curato nei dettagli con arredamento e complementi in stile africano. La pozza d'acqua in cui si abbeverano gli animali è a 15m dal tavolone del pranzo, abbiamo visto gli elefanti 2 volte al giorno tutti i giorni, durante i pasti o il relax in piscina (acqua fredda d'inverno). Tende molto spaziose e arredate con gusto, privacy assoluta, dettagli e finiture curati (lo dico da architetto);-ottime le guide per i safari, estremamente competenti sul comportamento degli animali, e sulla guida off-road: sono stati capaci di portarci sempre molto vicino agli animali in tutta sicurezza;-il personale molto gentile e sempre disponibile a rispondere alle nostre domande e curiosità o semplicemente a fermarsi a chiacchierare, senza risultare mai invadente. Ci siamo sentiti ben accolti: pochi ospiti (10 al massimo) e alcune semplici attenzioni, come chiamarci sempre per nome, hanno reso l'esperienza più familiare, meno formale e distaccata-cucina di prima classe, complimenti allo chef: cibi locali, sempre vari, preparati e spiegati con passione. Authentic but luxurious African safari experience The location is an amazing setting overlooking the Drakensberg mountain range surrounded by plenty of game. The tents are well kitted and luxurious, with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. The food was plentiful and delicious, a fusion of authentic African and modern cuisine. It's not my first stay in this breathless place where I spent incredible days doing 5 stars safaris with lots of sightsings in a pristine african area. This year I shared the experience with my 2 cousins for a family trip . Mandy and Richard my friends the owners, and all the staff members are friendly and professional ...if you like to live a unique holiday come to their amazing lodge located in a stunning environment. What an unforgettable experience on every level. The Staff were absolutely the best, food was gourmet and the rooms were so comfortable....everything is done at such high standards. We had a wonderful time at Imagine Africa for 4 nights in August. The staff are all lovely and extremely accommodating. Every meal we had was exceptional, the game drives were always lively and exciting. We saw all the big 5 and tons more, leopard, hyena, many elephants, many giraffe, zebra, lots of lions, wild dogs, more different things than we can fit in the review. We celebrated our honeymoon here and the staff left us a nice present to help use celebrate as well. We couldn’t be happier with our stay, and can’t wait to come back. Every little thing is accounted for and it honestly felt like being at home, you don’t have to worry about a thing once you pull up to the camp. Don’t worry about continuing to research camps in South Africa. I can’t ’imagine’ it being any nicer elsewhere.

Semplicemente fantastico, siamo stati in questa location ad Agosto 2024 per le nostre vacanze estive dopo esser stati a CITTA' DEL CAPO e volendo fare una riserva prima di entrare nella parte più centrale del KRUGER. Siamo stati 2 notti a IMAGINE AFRICA e vale tutti i soldi che vengono spesi.- Location e camere curatissime. Esclusività e massima privacy.- Cucina davvero ottima e lo dico da Italiano abbiamo mangiato ogni colazione/pranzo/cena come ad un ristorante di alto livello Italiano.- Personale cordiale e disponibile a ogni richiesta.Nota di merito ai GAME DRIVE, i nostri 2 tracker (Sidweel) + driver (Hendrick) hanno reso la nostra vacanza in Sudafrica indimenticabile. Incontri davvero ravvicinati con tutti gli animali più richiesti (gruppi di leoni, vista anche scena di caccia, elefanti, giraffe, leopardo visto 2 volte in 4 game drive, rinoceronti, zebre ...) avendo fatto poi anche SELF-DRIVE nel parco KRUGER posso dire che l'esperienza della riserva ti da la possibilità di vivere senza preoccupazioni il tutto. Inoltre rispetto agli altri driver della riserva, Hendrick e Sidwell cercavano davvero sempre di farci arrivare nella posizione migliore per vedere e fotografare animali e scene. Momenti unici e indimenticabili. Sempre rimasti fuori oltre le 3 ore sia al mattino che la sera.Unico appunto alla struttura è quello che sarebbe bello che la piscina fosse riscaldata, altrimenti inutilizzabile in inverno, e che le bevande durante i pasti e nei game drive fossero incluse dato che comunque il prezzo dell'alloggio è importante ed è proprio ''brutto'' che nella forma ALL INCLUSIVE vi sia poi qualcosa di escluso.Enormi complimenti alla struttura e un grazie particolare a Hendrick e Sidweel.

Highly recommend Imagine Africa. It truly is a place for making dreams come true. The service was amazing, making sure to spoil your every need. The luxury tents - luxurious! If you want the African game ride experience, this is what they want to do for you. We saw elephants, giraffes, leopard, wild dogs, hyena, both black and white rhinos, lions - babies too, hippos, owl, eagle, crocodile, zebras, chameleon - like, how did they find that little guy in the dark, but they did. The team of staff work together to make this a spectacular experience. And the food - that’s another whole chapter. Soooo delicious. We’ll always remember this beautiful and peaceful place.

Overall went beyond expectations. The site was a perfect example of glamping luxury. The tents are huge, great views, wonderful food and facilities, and as other people said saw many animals (including elephants) at the water hole in front of property. Saw loads of animals and action. The staff went above and beyond, I was incredibly impressed by everyone. Considering the seamless experience, I also think it was great value (4 nights for 3). This is a very private 5 tented camp, the food is great, excellent quality, the tents are spacious and beautiful, the personal is so kind, in the safaris they do they best for find animals.

Better than the best reviews I don't have the words to describe our 3 night / 6 game drive experience. I read all the reviews, and to be honest, they don't capture the true essence of Imagine Africa. The guides/trackers/hosts/cooks/staff were all skilled, friendly, and great at their jobs. We loved the "tents" where we stayed (aircon/USB plugs/great mattresses), we loved the food (near Michelin quality), we loved the game drives (we saw every singe animal from up close). Thanks to everyone for a dream holiday.

A very special place We have just spent 4 nights at the beautiful Imagine Africa camp. What a fantastic stay we have had! From the moment we arrived we felt comfortable and at ease. Staff are so welcoming and really could not do enough for you. Special thanks to Richard, Lani and Gary. To my surprise, my partner had arranged the most perfect safari proposal during our stay which was truly magical. We are so very grateful to everyone that helped make this such a perfect and precious moment for us. The tent was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and felt luxurious. A/C was a great perk! Game drives were fun and exciting. Comfortable open air vehicle with bottled water, waterproof ponchos and blankets all provided. Herman and Sydwell were great guides and helped us spot some brilliant sights such as leopards and wild dogs! Incredibly lucky! The food variety was excellent and always to a high standard. Overall Imagine Africa is a wonderful place to stay and now has a very special place in our hearts. We will be back ❤️
